Welcome to 10-minute transformations. This quick, 10-minute gentle yoga class is will help if you need to relieve stress, anxiety, or anyone who just needs to destress with a relaxing break.
Yoga For Stress Relief Beginners
This home yoga class is perfect for beginners or anyone who has been practicing yoga for a long time. It is designed to be calming.
Begin seated on your yoga mat, the floor, a chair, or bed. Notice your breath.
When we feel stressed out we breathe shallowly and quickly. When we are relaxed our breath flows smoothly, slowly and deeply.
Slow down your breath. Breathe in and out of your nose or however you need to in order to be able to release tension.
As we move in a slow flow stretch series, pay close attention to your breathing.
We breathe between 12 and 20 breaths per minute. When we are anxious we breathe fast. To reduce stress and relax the body take full deep relaxation breaths. Notice how this quick fix creates calm in just minutes.

The sequence of postures is designed to be peaceful and may help reduce depression and cultivate happiness.
Observe where you hold tension in your body. For most of us it is in the head, neck and shoulder area.
Begin by rolling your shoulders up toward your ears and then melt them down your back. This yoga for stress relief movement is helpful in relieving tension in the morning, or at ay time of day.
Move to table top yoga pose. Place a blanket under your knees as needed. As we move between cat yoga posture and cow yoga stretch 15 times. Move easy and let anger melt away.
We will move through some basic beginner twisting practice five times on each side. designed to help with digestion, ulcerative colitis, ibd, ibs, or bloating to detox and reduce abdominal discomfort brought on by stress or anxiety.
We will finish with reclining yoga stretches, moves to release frustration, and a short guided meditation for a clear mind and less stress.
