Gratitude yoga flow class| How yoga helps us find gratitude
Welcome to 365 inspired yoga classes on day 81. Today our yoga class flow is inspired by gratitude, being thankful and feeling grateful.
The yoga flow class is a power vinyasa hatha movement that will energize you in the morning or reenergize you at any time of the day.
This class is great for beginner, intermediate or advanced levels of yoga students who want to challenge their strength, flexibility and open their heart and feel a sense of thanks for their body, life, and spirit.

Yoga for Gratitude Practice

Let’s start seated and set an intention to find gratitude at this moment. What are you most grateful for right now? Fill up with gratitude. When we do, we change our body chemistry and release feel-good endorphins.

In addition to practicing yoga I recommend writing a gratitude lists first thing in the am on most days. Examine how that also brings you more joy. A joyful meditation practice helps with the growth of happiness in life.

From a seated position we will flow to warm up the body before getting into the strength of the yoga workout.

Yoga for Gratitude Poses

Move into tabletop posture for a cat-cow yoga flow. Take a moment to rest in child’s pose knowing that you can return to this posture to rest at any time.

From here we move ahead with the full yoga flow of sun salutations A and B with an open-hearted backbend. Flowing and growing as we repeat the rituals.

After a min or more of flow we build core strength.

For the balancing portion of today’s class begin by grounding down from your base or root chakra. Move up the body with growth. From tree to eagle and into dancer’s pose we evolve and challenge ourselves.

Lastly, we wind down with gentle flowing into hip opening. We will incorporate some yin yoga to increase flexibility. Feel free to bring props into the moment as we hold for all total minute in each yin pose.

As we slow the class bring back the thing you are most thankful for today. We can practice gratitude on more than just thanksgiving day.
