Yin yoga class for your hips

Welcome to 10 minute transformations. This yoga class is a yin yoga practice with deep stretches for flexibility in your hips.

We will begin on the back to take gentle yin yoga stretches from a passive position.

We start by doing long hamstring stretch holds.

Next we will move into supine pigeon and try reclining butterfly yin yoga pose.

Most yin yoga postures are held from one minute to 10 minutes.

For 10 minute transformation classes, we hold the yin yoga poses for shorter times.

You can pause the video and hold each stretch for any part of a full hour that works for you.

When we practice yin yoga we release the hips we also release the muscles in the legs such as the quads, it band, thighs, lower legs, psoas, hamstrings, glutes, internal and external hip flexors as we seek deep stretchy flexibility.

Yin Yoga Hip Openers

Yin yoga poses are held for a long time with various releases with flow, twists, rotation, and opening.

Yin yoga for hip stretches might bring up crazy emotional feelings of love and loss.

For beginners tight sore muscles from runners and other types of exercises will need no props.

Yoga For Flexibility

Intermediate yoga students will enjoy a deep stretch and restorative releasing sequence without pain.
