10 Minute Yoga In Office Overview

Welcome to 10 minute transformations. This quick little yoga class is designed for beginners, seniors and any level of yoga student who wishes to use a chair for yoga to help you relax and fall asleep easier.
This quick 10 min yoga class how to routine is for an office lunch break at your desk, for winding down, or for relaxing a few mins before bedtime. It helps with relaxation, rejuvenation, relief from pain, and to help you sleep. Beginner students of all ages, kids, adults, people with arthritis, and any health challenges like breast cancer. You can it at home or the sequence can be enjoyed at work too.
Take care of your body and do only what feels right to you.
Grab two chairs to begin. Bring the chairs close enough together so you can reach the seat of the opposite chair when sitting on one. Place the face of each chair toward one another.
You might like to bring a blanket into the practice as a prop for comfort and support.
Chair Yoga Video
Sit on one of the chairs and place the blanket on the one across from you.
Begin by gently stretching the neck by rolling your head side to side, then look up and down.
Next, move your arms out and up and lower them slowly. Repeat these easy chair yoga gentle stretches while moving with your breath.
Add an easy twist and hold each side for three to five slow deep breaths.
Chair Yoga Sequence
Now come into the child’s yoga pose by leaning over on the chair across from you. Turn your head from to one side for thirty seconds and then the other. Notice if you are holding tension in your shoulders. If so, relax and let it go.
Slowly roll up to seated. Keep the blanket as you move the chair across from you and place the blanket on the floor close to your chair.
Move into seated pigeon on the chair one leg at a time. Slowing down in this seated position should feel peaceful. Work on flexibility as you exhale in these exercises. Feel connected to your center.
Come to laying down on your back with your legs elevated on the chair. Feel the back of your legs stretch and lengthen your back on the blanket. These excercises are great for those with mobility issues, joint pain, and wheelchair-bound students who want a whole-body movement to relieve stress.

Be mindful with each of the poses and moves. Older patients will appreciate the pace of this class. Wind down and go slow for the best results. For improved health learn not to move to fast in yoga. Modifying as you go helps all levels.
